Attending A Bridal Show? Here's What You Need To Know

Isn't it exciting to be engaged?  The business of planning a wedding is exciting and a little overwhelming at the same time.  There are so many things to consider-- the dresses, flowers and music to name just a few.  Planning your special day should be a fun experience for the bride and one which shouldn't leave you feeling confused.  One of the ways to simplify the wedding planning process is by attending a bridal show.  A bridal show is basically a "one-stop shop" for you to see (and taste) so many different options for your wedding.

If you've never attended a bridal show before you can expect to see many local wedding vendors gathered together under one roof, displaying their products and anxious to talk to you about your visions for your wedding.  It's a great place to see the latest styles and trends from florists, bridal shops, wedding invitation vendors, photographers, disc jockeys, and don't forget to leave room to sample the wedding cakes and other delectable's you'll see.

Visiting with the different vendors makes it easy to compare prices and services which in turn will save you money.  By using some of the tips listed below, you're sure to make the most out of your bridal show experience and save some time and money.  Enjoy!

• Purchase tickets in advance, they are often discounted if you register early.

• Bring along a roll of return address labels.  They are a real time saver for filling out entry forms and registration forms.

• Make notes when talking with wedding vendors.  You'll be talking with many of them and it's good to keep your thoughts organized.

• Bring a list of questions you want to ask vendors.  They are very willing to answer them and have a lot of great ideas.

• Take the brochures and literature home with you.  It's easier to go through it in more detail when you get home.  Make notes on something that caught your eye so you are sure to remember it later.

• Bring your friends, they will have a great time too and would love to be part of your wedding planning process.

• Bring a checkbook to be able to leave a deposit if you want to reserve a date.  And there may be items for sale like jewelry, cosmetics, and refreshments.

• RELAX and ENJOY!  Bridal shows can be hectic, but remember that all decisions take time and you don't have to plan it all in one day!
